Pool Restoration

Refurbishing a pool that's far beyond its prime can be just as thrilling as designing an entirely new one. In this case, a 40-year-old freeform pool had endured movement and cracking due to being left empty for many years. As pools require water, regular servicing, and maintenance to maintain their structural integrity.

The pool renovation was part of a broader property overhaul that demanded careful coordination to ensure the pool team could work "just-in-time" and meet deadlines. Collaborating closely with the main contractor and homeowners, the team transformed the deteriorating structure into a sleek, modern pool. The unique shape (14m at its longest point and 7m at its widest), profile, and variable depth (1m–2.5m) posed a challenge in determining the optimal positions for new fittings and features.

The renovation involved removing old mosaic tiles, re-rendering the pool, and installing entirely new pipework. Outdated fittings, such as skimmers, inlets, vacuum lines, main drains, and pool lights, were replaced with high-quality stainless-steel alternatives.
